Getting Started

When you start NCPE it will open on the “Wizard Mode”. This mode is recommended for inexperienced people. Here will only be asked for the information that is absolutely needed to build a node.cfg file. As you click “next” either a new fields page or a warnings page appears. If you see a warning page, just read carefully the message and try to correct the errors you have. You can not go through before you do it.
If you felt the need, just click on the “Expert” button and you will change to the “Expert Mode”. There you will be able to configure whole node.cfg fields.

File location

For Install Server installations

NCPE will allow you to save a node.cfg file. Is highly recommended to save the node.cfg in the /hiq8000-sw/config/node_name server directory. Be aware, your node.cfg file must be on that directory the moment you run the ./build_autoinst script.
